The Job

Primary outpatient physical therapist specializing in brain injury and neurological rehabilitation at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Why this is a dream job

PTs are part of a multidisciplinary team of MDs, PTAs, SLPs, OTs, SWs, and neuropsychologists who work closely with patients and families to support, educate, and assist in every step of the rehabilitation process. The team provides individualized and group treatment to improve communication, cognition, swallowing, functional mobility, ADLs, and community re-entry, with a strong emphasis on psychosocial, behavioral, and emotional well-being. Working in this LifeBridge Health center provides PTs with a wealth of opportunities for professional growth.

Types of patients and injuries you would work with

PTs are responsible for patients with neurological impairments, including those from the CARF-accredited RETURN! Brain Injury Program, as well as others with diagnoses such as normal pressure hydrocephalus, CVA, mild brain injury, spasticity, and sports-related concussion.
