Mercy Medical Center Welcomes New President

Mark Korth has been named president of Mercy Medical Center in Redding, Calif. Korth assumed this position Dec. 31.

Korth was selected after reviewing qualified candidates throughout the nation. The final candidates were interviewed by key leaders from MMCR’s community board, advisory council, medical staff, and management, who provided input to assist in the final selection.

Korth earned a master’s in healthcare administration and a master’s in business administration in 1995 from the University of Minnesota. He previously was employed by Tenet HealthSystem as CEO of Lakewood (Calif.) Regional Medical Center. Before that, he served as COO of Los Alamitos Medical Center in Los Alamitos, Calif. He also was employed by Sutter Health in Sacramento, and for Medica and Allina Health System in Minnesota.
